LabLine™

Helical reactors for research & pre-commercial applications

The LabLine series offers a scalable solution for demanding cultivation processes at laboratory and pilot scales. With working volumes ranging from 65 to 400 liters, these reactors are ideal for research projects, feasibility studies, or the preparation of industrial processes.

Technical sophistication in a compact format

The spiral design of the helically wound reactors ensures optimal light penetration and effective mixing. The almost completely transparent reactor surface allows for continuous visual monitoring.

Our reactors consist of UV-resistant PMMA tubes manufactured in-house, as well as transparent PMMA cultivation vessels. All components are mounted within a high-quality aluminum frame made of system profiles—making the system stable, durable, and modularly expandable.

All systems are equipped with aseptic flanges and come with industrial sensors as standard. Additional sensors can be integrated at any time.

Intelligent control & flexible lighting

A customizable PLC control system enables precise regulation of all process parameters as well as the full-surface LED lighting.

Optional: Spectrally tunable LED technology

In response to customer requests, we are currently developing an LED system with individually adjustable light channels (red 660 nm, blue 450 nm, white 6500 K). This allows for the targeted control and fine-tuning of spectral ranges—ideal for sensitive or specialized cultures.

Customization possible

Whether it involves specialized sensor technology, custom materials, or control system adaptations, the LabLine series can be flexibly tailored to your requirements.

LabLine 65™

The LabLine 65™ is the compact entry-level model in the helical LabLine series. It is ideally suited for feasibility studies, media development, and initial reproducible cultivation trials under controlled conditions.

Thanks to its mobile, caster-mounted design and integrated LED lighting, the system can be flexibly deployed in the laboratory by a single person and quickly adapted to various experimental environments.

LabLine 100™

The LabLine 100™ is the versatile standard platform of the LabLine series. It offers a balanced ratio of culture volume, footprint, and process control, making it particularly suitable for process optimization, parameter studies, and the development of robust cultivation strategies.

Its mobile, caster-mounted design and integrated LED lighting allow for flexible use in research and development environments.

LabLine 200™

The LabLine 200 expands the laboratory scale by offering a larger culture volume, enabling more extensive series of experiments and the production of larger, more relevant quantities of biomass. It is particularly well-suited for scale-up studies and applications where process conditions closer to actual production are to be investigated.

Like the other models, the LabLine 200 is mounted on casters and comes equipped with LED lighting as standard, allowing for flexible integration into existing laboratory and pilot plant setups.

LabLine 400™

The LabLine 400 is the highest-performance model in the LabLine series and serves as an intermediate step toward pilot-scale operations. It is particularly well-suited for process validation prior to scaling up to larger PilotLine systems.

Unlike the smaller LabLine models, the LabLine 400 is designed as a stationary system and does not come equipped with LED lighting as standard. It thus more closely reflects production-like conditions, serving as a practical bridge between laboratory development and pilot-scale facilities.
